About this artwork Austrian artist Gustav Klimt created 'Garden Path with Hens' in 1916 when he was residing near the small town of Unterach, located on the southern edge of Lake Attersee in Austria. The canvas is adorned on both sides with bushes brimming with red, purple, and yellow floral blossoms. The method in which these flowers blend with each other provides structure and patterns to the artwork. Contrasting with the ornamental backdrop, Klimt has depicted two hens walking along the stone path in a very realistic style.
